Nothing wrong with taking an idea and developing it, though, this was a LOT better imo.

I said not to put the "*pain*" because it doesnt really work imo.
The woman is quite small. I dunno if this was just me, but I couldnt hear the music.

I loved how half of the starting song started to turn into the "Arthur" theme song, lol. I loved the whole stuttering thing as well.

It make me itch- the music was simply PERFECT and I think you animated nicely, really nicely. I like this because the animation doesnt try and make itself different from the music- its there to amplify the meaning of the music. In my opinion, make more like these and you'll be my newest favourite animator :)

This was certainly better than last time. I doubt you remember my review for abyssal, but i said it had very little feel to it.

This one was certainly a step in the right direction.

Well.. Im going to review it honestly, and say I was slightly disappointed.
To me, personally, I found it quite emotionless. It just lacked that sense of danger i really think would've made this a real thrill.
I understand what you were trying to do with the simplicity of the character, but in my personal opinion you actually need to give a character a personality, a sense of individuality, for the audience to emote to it. This is unless you're using the main character the main reason the audience is scared. My next point would be the sound usage. There was great potential but I think you just missed out on giving the sound effects that chilling edge which people are drawn in by, Im unsure but I THINK you would get this by making the sound start quiet, as you did, but instead of increasing it slightly, I would personally go forward and make it as loud as possible as it reaches the peak.

Artwork and the idea was great, its just a shame it didnt live up to its potential.

Can I ask you a question? When you made this, were you truly, truly inspired to make it, or was it just a side-project.. I find that if you give the animation your full attention that it will tend to create feeling in the audience as you subconsciously put in more what you feel in your gut about the subject, and they will most likely respond how you do. Plus, I guess you have to be totally inspired by it and feel some emotion for the anim yourself.

Or maybe thats just me.

I love making things in Flash in theory, but find the process to crushingly tedious that I never really put as much work into them as I plotted out in my mind.

I made this whole thing in one night, though I'd harbored the idea for it for over a year or two. I guess pretty much everything I make it side-project material, I've done flash for a while but not in a high volume and still consider myself a base amateur :)

I quite definately understood, appreciated it and even found it funny.
However theres a little C&C I'd like to give- the character of the old guy had so much potential, I felt that if he had stuck all the way through with the creepy, evil old guy style then it wouldve just generally been a lot funnier than going into swearing. It just didnt fit the char, imo.

Obviously I dont expect you to change it, it just advice for the next animation, make the characters constant.
